My Inspiration

I was on the first day of my vacation from my job working at a skilled nursing facility for people living with dementia.  I had just finished mowing the lawn and was getting ready to go kayaking.  I received a text from the HR director asking if I had time for a phone call.  I hesitated as the last time I took a few days off, the Director of Nursing asked/made me interrupt my vacation and come in to work to be tested for COVID.  But I decided that I should respond and did.  Ten minutes later, I was unemployed - effective immediately!   I am 57 years old and I have never been in this situation before.  A friend suggested I write a blog.  I have NEVER done anything like this, but it resonated.  So after some soul searching, I thought I might share my daily journeys.  I know so many people are suddenly out of work for so many reasons.  This is a crazy time in our world right now!  It is my intention to share openly and honestly, gain personal focus and insight and perhaps provide experiences that others may relate to  in some way.  Who knows what awaits?!?  Here we go!!!
